Apparently, he fell down during play and another player stepped on his arm while he was trying to get back up. As parents, we must have been in denial because we were convinced that he wasn't hurt that bad and encouraged him to play on.
There was no bruising or swelling and and the trainers there both said that they thought it was not broken. The next day of camp changed everything when a ball was passed to him and he fell to the ground in pain.
We took him straight to an emergency care facility where it was x-rayed. Because he is young the bones are soft enough to bend and snap back. The bone above the wrist was left with a "buckle" and so they call it a "buckle fracture".
He received a splint from the doctor in Provo and today he got it casted. The picture above shows that although basketball is on hold, he's proud to show that he has a broken arm!

Spiffy cast!
I love the stripe, can we put an iGravity sticker on it for free advertising?
I'm good with that. He would probably take an iGravity t-shirt too!
